Gas Safety Certificate in London

Gas safety is a vital way of protecting against the dangers of a faulty or non-compliant gas installation. If you’re a landlord of a tenanted residential or commercial property, then you’re legally required to renew your gas safety certificate each year. While this certificate isn’t legally required for homeowners, it is highly recommended. In each case, only Gas Safe-registered engineers are qualified to carry out these gas safety checks for you.

We can arrange a certified gas safety check for domestic and commercial properties at short notice in London. Book with us for the following gas safety certificates:

CP12 – Homeowner / Landlord Gas Safety Record
CP17 – Gas Installation Safety Report (non-domestic)
CP42 – Commercial Catering Inspection Record

Same-day remedial service

If there’s an issue with your gas appliance or flue, some service providers will declare it unsafe, decommission it, and then leave the repairs to someone else. You might also have to pay for a separate gas safety certificate once the repairs are done.

Aspect experts work differently. We can usually carry out the repairs right away at the half-hourly rate (one-hour minimum) and issue a new gas safety certificate once the installation is made safe.

Extra boiler checks included

For residential properties, we perform the standard safety checks on gas meters, gas boilers, cookers, hobs, fires, and any other appliance connected to a gas supply pipe required by a CP12. We then go a step further by providing an extra five checks on your gas boiler. These will help to identify problems early on and reduce the chance of a breakdown.

We’ll check:

  • Your boiler’s control function
  • The condition of the condensate pipe
  • For signs of leaks and corrosion
  • Your boiler’s pressure level
  • The state of the connected pipework

The complete service package

You may find it most convenient to arrange for a combined boiler service and Gas Safety Record (CP12). This way, you don’t have to book two visits. We’ll service your boiler in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines to satisfy these conditions and ensure your warranty stays valid.

Servicing works as a general health check of your boiler, while the gas safety certificate confirms there’s no risk of an explosion, safety devices are working correctly, and that all harmful gases are being vented out safely.

A gas safety certificate costs £105.00 ex VAT, while a combined gas safety certificate and boiler service costs £190.00 ex VAT.

An accredited service

It’s against the law for anyone not on the Gas Safe register to issue a gas safety certificate. At Aspect, we’re fully registered to do just that. Our engineers carry Gas Safe ID cards to show their industry knowledge, and they’re able to check and test all types of gas appliances. We’re also members of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) and guarantee all workmanship for up to 12 months.

Priority scheduling available

You may need a Gas Safety Record quickly, such as if you have tenants about to move in or if you’re about to sell your house. We’re able to offer a priority attendance service to inspect your appliances within one hour of your booking, which will help to keep the rest of your plans running on schedule.
