Boiler Servicing in London

Much like a car, boilers are complex machines requiring maintenance and should be regularly serviced by an expert. An annual boiler service helps to keep your system working properly, running efficiently, and it will help protect against breakdowns. Boiler servicing also tends to be a condition of the manufacturer’s warranty, so arranging a service could save you from having to pay out if repairs are needed.

Although a boiler service is recommended every 12 months, you should arrange a service sooner if your boiler’s working but getting intermittent faults, making unusual noises, or if there are other causes for concern. During the service, your engineer will carry maintenance checks for leaks, component wear and tear, and problems with the gas flue.

Aspect engineers can service almost any domestic or commercial boiler unit to the manufacturer’s guidelines (excluding oil-fired boilers).

Commercial boiler servicing

Boiler servicing is just as important for businesses as it is for residential properties. Without it, your premises could be without heating and hot water, causing major problems for staff and customers. Our engineers can service commercial grade boilers on non-domestic gas supplies, ensuring these systems run as they should, with no growing issues that could cause a breakdown.

How we charge for boiler servicing

An annual boiler service for a condensing boiler costs £105.00 ex VAT, and we apply half-hourly rates to servicing non-condensing boilers (one-hour minimum). We can also offer a combined boiler service and gas safety check, Gas Safety Record (CP12), for £190.00 ex VAT. This combined pack is ideal for landlords, who must by law keep an up-to-date GSR.

If your boiler fails the service maintenance checks and it’s within warranty, we can either refer it back to the manufacturer or quote for the repair work ourselves, in which case the repairs can be done straight away. You might save on the repair costs by getting your manufacturer to do it under warranty.

Our central heating engineer may ask to see your boiler servicing manual for reference, but don’t worry if you can’t find it. Most of these manuals are available online, so they can usually download a new one if needed.

Our guarantee and accreditations

We’re fully trade accredited to perform boiler servicing and work on central heating systems. Aspect is registered with Gas Safe and a member of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA). We also guarantee workmanship for up to 12 months for additional peace of mind.

By choosing us for your annual boiler service, you receive expert help and advice. If we find a problem, we're happy to explain the process and guide you through the next steps.

Having boiler trouble?

Remember, a boiler service is a yearly maintenance health-check, so we can only service a boiler that’s working. If it’s broken down, we’d need to investigate the fault at the half-hour rate (one-hour minimum) and then fix the system for you. Once the boiler repair work is complete, we’ll then be able to carry out the boiler servicing work.
